The role requires confidence, high-quality output and delivery in breaking news events and assigned work. This opportunity is at New Zealand’s award-winning public media company, RNZ, whose aim is to provide comprehensive, independent, trusted regional and national news and current affairs. Te Mahi – About the job RNZ is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior journalist with demonstrable experience in breaking news and a track record of original stories for radio, current affairs programmes and digital and social media platforms. Your experience at a senior level will mean that you are organised, efficient and reliable, using your initiative to report on a mix of original and assigned stories, and have a comprehensive knowledge of important issues facing New Zealanders. You will be ready to hit the road, relying on key contacts and sources to drive story ideas and deliver first-class journalism.
