As a part of yourfirst year of practice programme you may have the opportunity to consolidateyour practice in a variety of maternity settings. As a part of your first year, you may alsoget to experience specialist clinics and other opportunities depending on whatyou would like to focus on. This means you could get to experience all areas ofmidwifery to find out what you love the most. About you You will have loads of passion and a commitment towomen centred and culturally respectful care. As a recent or newgraduate , who meets the Midwifery Council and NZCOM enrolment requirementsfor the Midwifery First year of Practice programme (MFYP), we will assist yourtransition to practice through a comprehensive New Graduate Midwifery programmewhich includes: a full orientation, access to midwifery educator and clinicalcoach support, and a range of clinical experiences across a variety ofmidwifery settings to help prepare you to become a confident midwiferypractitioner. As a midwife you will be able to use all yourclinical and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing andpostnatal care. Shiftwill be rostered across AM, PM and Nights working8-hour shifts.
