The IST Customer Service team provides high‑quality support and service to parliamentary customers, managing technology incidents and requests through phone, email, in‑person and self‑service channels, and championing a strong customer‑service culture. Mō te tūnga | About the role: Our Customer Technical Engineers support parliamentary staff and customers, including Members of Parliament, Ministers and other agencies. This hands‑on technical role involves providing advanced support across desktop and mobile environments, troubleshooting, device provisioning, hardware and software support, and maintaining standardised technology platforms. You will act as an escalation point for complex issues and contribute to process improvement. Key responsibilities include: Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues, including Windows 11, iOS, Android and Microsoft 365 applications. Build, deploy and manage hardware and software requests. Support electorate and community offices and precinct stock logistics. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams. Provide guidance and knowledge sharing across IST support squads. Build strong relationships between IST and our key customers. Tō kete | What you will bring to the role: Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, VPNs and mobile platforms. Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills. A proactive, customer‑focused mindset. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Flexibility to respond to urgent issues and work extended hours. To be considered, you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and be able to obtain and maintain a NZ Government National Security clearance at CONFIDENTIAL level.
