Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Description
D & D Cuisines Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team. Great opportunity for right candidate. Working closely with restaurant manager and assisting the daily operation of business. Completing delegated task efficiently allowing restaurant manager to focus on more important task. Ideally the person will take instructions from restaurant manager and support in daily basic operation of business.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:
\nShould have or able to get Duty Managers Certificate . Must always keep a valid Duty Managers Certificate.
\n\n\nShould have & regularly update knowledge of Indian food, ingredients, taste etc. Knowledge of Indian food is very important to make suggestion for meals to customers , taking into consideration customers dietary needs / allergies etc .
\n\n\nDesigning menu for groups if needed or as asked by restaurant manager based on customer’s requirements (budget, dietary, taste preference etc) .
\n\n\nManaging banking and cashiering of the Restaurant in absence of restaurant manager or as needed .
\n\n\nTraining and supervising waiting and kitchenRes staff if needed or as asked by restauran t manager.
\n\n\nGood decision making, and customer service skills are required .
\n\n\nMaintenance of the premises and equipment.
\n\n\nIf needed making rosters for the staff and communicating effectively with the staff to ensure everyone knows when they are working.
\n\n\nOrdering and inventory control following the ordering system if asked by restaurant manager .
\n\n\nReceive and record the supplies from suppliers as per food control plans requirement.
\n\n\nMaintain proper record (inventory & invoicing) of supplies received.
\n\n\nTo understand and maintain records on the use of the Food Control Act, first aid kit, OSH and Fire Safety procedures.
\n\n\nAssist kitchen staff if needed.
\n\n\nMaintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions if asked .
\n\n\nMaking sure that dining facilities comply with health regulations, legal regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
\n\n\nFollow any instructions given by Director, restaurant manager or any representative appointed.
\n\n\nRegular interaction with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service .
\n\n\nTake reservations, greet guests, and assist in taking orders as and when required .
\n\n\nShoul d be able to manage restaurant in absence of restaurant manager.
\n\n\nWilling to work split shifts.
\n\n\nAssist restaurant manager as needed to make sure restaurant operation runs smoothly.

\n Location: Christchurch Canterbury , New Zealand .
\n Employment Type: Full-time, permanent .
Employ er : D&D Cuisines Ltd .
\n Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week .
\n Work Schedule: Between 11:30 AM and 1 1 : 3 0 PM, including weekends and public holidays .
\n Pay Rate: $2 5.5 to $ 30 .50 per hour (depending on skills and experience) .
Minimum Requirements:
\n NZQF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Hospitality Management
\n OR
\n At least 1 years of relevant work experience as restaurant manager, supervisor or assistant restaurant manager or a similar role .
Skills and Attributes:
\n Strong leadership and team management skills .
\n Excellent customer service and communication abilities .
\n Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements .
\n Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions .
\n Knowledge of Indian cuisine and customer dietary requirements is preferre d. Knowledge of Indian food is important to make suggestion to customers while taking to consideration dietary need s/ allergies etc .
