Working closely with Maintenance, Operations and Technical Services, you’ll coordinate planned maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with statutory and site electrical standards. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and supervise the site’s electrical maintenance team Coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance activities Ensure safe and reliable operation of underground electrical infrastructure and fixed plant Prioritise work schedules to maximise equipment availability Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and contractors Monitor maintenance performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, statutory requirements and site procedures Manage electrical permits, isolations and high‑voltage activities where required Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the operation About You To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Trade qualification as an Electrician Current New Zealand Electrical Registration (or ability to obtain registration) Previous experience leading electrical maintenance teams in mining, heavy industry or process plant environments Strong fault‑finding, maintenance planning and leadership skills Experience with fixed plant, motors, drives, PLCs, switchgear and industrial electrical systems Current Driver Licence Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills Desirable Previous experience in underground hard‑rock mining Experience within underground gold or metalliferous mining operations High Voltage switching authorisation Current First Aid Certificate Supervisory or leadership qualifications Experience with CMMS maintenance systems such as Pronto, SAP or MEX Build Your Future Here Opportunities to join a mining operation at this stage are rare.
