Drive organisation-wide impact Lead high-profile planning and improvement initiatives Be a trusted business advisor Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis to provide and support the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management activities. This is a pivotal role within our Finance Group, providing financial insights, analysis and reporting at organisation wide level to assist business leaders in making informed decisions and achieving strategic objectives. Reporting to the Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis, you will lead and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to monitor financial performance, develop organisation wide budget, identify risk and opportunities and support continuous improvement in planning processes. In this role, you will: Lead and support the forecasting and budgeting process across business units. Develop, maintain, and review operating and capital forecasts and budgets. Consolidate forecast and budget submissions (internal and external) and ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with long-term financial planning and strategic business planning activities. Prepare performance reports, forecast and budget presentations and supporting documentation for management. Deliver timely, future-focused advice and reporting that drives improved organisational performance. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges and opportunities. Present complex information in a clear and meaningful way to a range of audiences. Influence decision-making and negotiate effective solutions to business challenges. Support and lead critical projects that deliver value and improve organisational outcomes. To be successful in this role, you'll have: A relevant tertiary qualification and at least five years' comparable experience. Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of business drivers. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and performance management. Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities. Experience interpreting complex data and turning it into valuable business insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities. Proven ability to prioritise competing demands, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
