Registered Nurse - Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation Ward Southland Hospital Permanent 0.8 FTE (32 hours a week) opportunity Salary band – $81,683 - $106,739 p.a pro rata + Kiwisaver Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role This role will see you supporting patients in their rehabilitation journey. You will be involved in: Conducting thorough assessments of patients' health conditions and rehabilitation needs. Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs. Assist patients with daily activities and mobility to promote independence and recovery Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring that each patient's unique goals and needs are addressed About you This role requires a nurse who is adaptive to change, resourceful, flexible to service needs and future development and a genuine passion for working in the community. Within this position you will require: Comprehensive clinical assessment and problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the inter-professional team. Ability to direct and delegate to Allied Health Assistants Excellent communication skills to liaise with health professionals, both within the in-patient services and in the community setting. Recent experience of working with older adults in acute, rehabilitation or community settings This role covers a Monday to Sunday rostered shifts You will need to be a NZ Registered Nurse with current APC.
