Heavy Diesel Mechanic – Kapiti Workshop (Full-time) We are on the hunt for a qualified or experienced heavy diesel mechanic to join our Kapiti based workshop and become part of our well - established and successful family business. Being one of the largest scale earth-moving contractors in NZ. Applicants need to be: A qualified heavy diesel mechanic or Able to demonstrate examples of working on this type of machinery Holding a full class one NZ driver licence Motivated with a GOOD team attitude A solutions person with a can do approach Our fleet is varied and no two days are the same - as we work on: Excavators – CAT with GPS 2.5T -100T Motorscrapers – CAT 637 open bowls, Wabco 252’s, 222’s, 111’s, 333’s and our latest editions 353FT Dozers – CAT D6-D10 Dump Trucks – CAT 740A & B, Tipper and ejectors, Moxy’s MT30 & MDT30 E models, Volvo AT40 tippers, LD1000 Morooka, Hydrema 912 Opportunity awaits for you to continue expanding your experience and knowledge. Heavy Diesel Mechanic – Hawkes Bay We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our busy Civil Contracting Projects, however if you are newly qualified and you think you have what it takes, please apply also. Ideally you are a true “black-belt” – proficient in all facets of earthmoving plant operation and keen to use your skills. The opportunity: As a highly skilled operator, you will be working on some of most complex terrain on the highway , sub divisions. You’ll be operating our late model and well-maintained equipment all over the projects, bringing your skills to our team and completing high quality advanced earthworks operations. The skills we’re after: Experience with GPS operation Skilled with multiple types of plant – Dozers, Motorscrapers (Terex, Wabco and CAT brands), Compactors, Graders, Excavators up to 100T Proficient in various dozer and motorscraper operations, ripping and benching bulk loading, batter work, sub grading, final trimming and more Full Class 2 licenses, with WTR endorsements You can see the big picture and coordinate team efforts You are physically fit You understand and embrace our approach to doing ‘Safety Differently’ You can work flexible hours You’re a team player, self-motivated and driven to succeed.
