Registered Nurse - Acute Assessment Unit Permanent, Part Time, 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE) A great opportunity to work at the front line of acute care, building your clinical skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. About the Role As a Registered Nurse - Acute Assessment Unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to patients requiring rapid assessment and short-term treatment. You’ll use your clinical judgement to assess, plan, and deliver care, working closely with patients and whānau in a dynamic acute setting. This is a fast-paced and varied role where you’ll manage changing priorities, support patient flow, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and safe care. You’ll also play a key role in patient education, ongoing assessment, and contributing to a positive team environment focused on delivering excellent outcomes. About the Team/Service/Location The Acute Assessment Unit at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is a key service supporting urgent patient assessment, treatment, and flow through the hospital. You’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care. About you As a Registered Nurse, you will bring: Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration with a valid practising certificate Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced acute environment Effective communication and teamwork skills Good time management and ability to prioritise competing demands Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive care Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
