Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.4, Start Date: 03/08/2026, End Date: 18/12/2026 (Special Project) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Motueka South School is seeking a dedicated specialist teacher to join our team. This position is for up to 0.4 FTTE fixed‑term role for the remainder of the 2026 school year. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference for learners with additional needs while working alongside our committed staff. Actual start date, days and hours of work are negotiable. This is a special project to establish programmes, strategies and sustainable long‑term outcomes for our ORS ākonga based on development of the revised NZ Curriculum and planned adaptations to our current learning spaces. We are seeking someone who is approachable, flexible, collaborative and organised, with a genuine commitment to inclusive practice and positive relationships. This position requires strong relationship‑building skills and an understanding of how to scaffold success for learners with diverse needs. An excellent knowledge of the revised NZ Curriculum is required to ensure success of this project. To lead and provide sustainable learning and behavior for our ORS‑funded students, responsibilities would include a range of activities such as: assessing students’ learning needs teaching students in class or in small groups putting together programmes for students within the classroom curriculum and appropriate learning spaces monitoring the student progress and planning next steps modelling different strategies for teachers and teacher aides adapting materials or supports so the student can access the learning programme contributing to a student’s Individual Education Plan working closely with our SENCO, LSC, staff and whānau to provide the best outcomes for tamariki The successful candidate will have the following: current NZ teacher registration who is already eligible to work in New Zealand. An excellent knowledge of the revised NZ Curriculum is required to ensure success of this project. Start date, days and hours of work are negotiable.
