Job Type Full‑time Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer with 2‑5 years of experience to join our Auckland office team. The successful candidate will provide design and consulting on projects within New Zealand and Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic office experiencing rapid growth in a healthy market focused on infrastructure development, specifically in the underground sector for the foreseeable future. Responsibilities Undertake geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations for tunnels, shafts, foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement and seismic evaluations. Evaluate and characterise soil and rock engineering parameters based on site investigation data. Work with other disciplines to solve complex problems; assist in developing and coordinating project deliverables, including research, analysis, and recommendations. Write technical reports outlining design basis and solutions. Follow the internal QAQC protocol and participate in quality reviews prior to client submission. Attend project meetings and support coordination of site visits and stakeholder interactions. Perform fieldwork such as inspections of construction activities or site investigations. Qualifications Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focused) from an accredited university. Have 2‑5 years of geotechnical engineering design experience. Experience in numerical analysis and familiarity with geotechnical analysis software including Plaxis, FLAC, UDEC and Rocscience suite. Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards, e.g., AS5100 and AS/NZS 1170. Strong communication skills. Willingness to expand knowledge across disciplines and construction/field practices.
