That’s why we are seeking like‑minded Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Caregivers to join our Bupa Merrivale Care Home located in Kamo, Whangarei and Bupa Totara Gardens Care Home located in Tikipunga, Whangarei in Northland. Fixed Term Contract until 17 May 2027: average 31 hours per week Level 4 Caregiver + medication competency required AM shifts only Days of work: Mondays and Thursdays – Sundays Off Days: Tuesdays & Wednesdays Please note this role requires working every weekend Permanent Full Time Position – average 32 hours per week. Level 4 Caregiver + medication competency required Days of Work: Monday‑Wednesday and Saturday‑Sunday Off days: Thursday and Friday Working different shifts both weeks (Monday – Sunday over a 6‑week roster) Week 1, 3, 5: Monday: 3 pm‑9:30 pm, Tuesday: 3 pm‑11 pm, Wednesday: 3 pm‑9:30 pm, Saturday: 7 am‑2 pm and Sunday: 7 am‑3 pm (Thursday and Friday off) Week 2, 4, 6: Monday: 3 pm‑11:15 pm, Tuesday: 3 pm‑11:15 pm, Saturday 3 pm‑11 pm, Sunday 3 pm‑11:15 pm (Thursday and Friday off) Permanent Part‑time Position – Average 25 hours per week. Level 4 Caregiver + medication competency required AM shifts only – Mix of 7 am‑3 pm and 7 am‑1 pm 4 on, 2 off roster cycle over a 6‑week period (Monday‑Sunday) Where You Will Make an Impact Provide personal care assistance with daily living, whilst treating residents with respect and dignity. Mobility assistance in accordance with resident care plans. Maintain accurate health care documentation as required. Encourage all residents to participate in scheduled social activities. Contribute to the development of a positive, safe, home environment for residents, visitors, and the wider team. What About You An NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 4. Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within aged care. Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, dedication to care, and passion for enriching the lives of the elderly. Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
