Butchery 2IC - NW Stonefields

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Butchery 2IC to join our team at New World Stonefields. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll work alongside our Butchery Manager to deliver an outstanding department, create exciting new products, and help develop the next generation of butchers. What you’ll be doing Cutting, trimming and preparing a wide range of quality meat products.Working alongside the Butchery Manager to help lead the day‑to‑day running of the department. Coaching and developing our apprentice and junior butchers. Creating and introducing new value‑added products to keep our offering fresh and exciting. Adding value to our meat bar, ensuring it's full, fresh and visually appealing every day. Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service and helping customers choose the right products. Maintaining high food safety, hygiene and presentation standards. Using SAP to assist with stock control, ordering and department processes. Working with the team to ensure the department is well presented, fully stocked and ready for trade. What we’re looking for A qualified or highly experienced butcher. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Experience using SAP. A passion for innovation and creating new products. Someone who enjoys mentoring and coaching others. Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards. Excellent communication and customer service skills. A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
