Wondernauts is a spacious, well‑resourced, not‑for‑profit community‑based early learning centre located within the beautiful Ruakura grounds in Hamilton. We have an expansive outdoor environment featuring real grass, an orchard, vegetable gardens, mud pits, chickens, and an impressive purpose‑built bike track. Our three classrooms collectively support just 54 children, as we value small group sizes and teacher‑to‑child ratios that best serve our tamariki. Our beautiful centre offers a progressive, all‑weather curriculum focused on reconnecting children with nature and their local community. We pride ourselves on providing meaningful experiences beyond the classroom, including three weekly bush kindergarten programmes and an intergenerational programme with our local retirement village. We are seeking a motivated team leader who enjoys supporting both our preschool aged tamariki and teaching team. You will be positive, energetic, well organised, and have a genuine appreciation for Papatuuaanuku. You will be adaptable, open‑minded, and an inspiring leader who models best practice, loves supporting others to grow, and is committed to creating a positive team culture. You will need to hold a recognised ECE qualification and current practising certificate. Applicants must already have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa. A full driver’s licence is desirable, along with the confidence and willingness to drive our centre van for excursions.
