Working closely with Shift Supervisors and Mine Management, you’ll coordinate daily activities, mentor team members and help drive production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise underground mining crews during daily operations Coordinate work activities to achieve production and development targets Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site procedures Mentor and support operators and underground miners Conduct pre‑start meetings and communicate daily work plans Monitor work quality and provide coaching where required Identify operational issues and elevate where appropriate Complete production reporting and shift documentation Work closely with Supervisors, Technical Services and Maintenance teams Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the operation About You Previous experience in an underground hard rock mining environment Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring underground mining crews Strong knowledge of underground development and production mining Excellent communication and leadership skills Current Driver Licence Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams A proactive attitude and commitment to operational excellence Desirable Experience within underground gold or metalliferous mining operations Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Shift Supervisor Current First Aid Certificate Underground mining qualifications or supervisory certifications Experience operating underground mining equipment Build Your Future Here Opportunities to join a mining operation at this stage are rare.
