Teacher of ICT, Digital Fluency and Design Technology (Years 7-13) Full time, Permanent Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Technology, The arts Are you an experienced digital technologies teacher looking to make a lasting impact in a growing, future-focused school? North West College is seeking a passionate and innovative educator to lead our ICT, design technology and digital fluency programmes across the College as we continue to expand from Years 7–10 through to Years 13. As a foundation staff member, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the direction of our digital curriculum while inspiring students to become confident, creative and capable users of technology. The role You will deliver engaging ICT and design technology programmes for our secondary students while also teaching creative digital fluency to Years 7–8, fostering innovation, digital citizenship, computational thinking and creative problem-solving. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to curriculum design, establish programmes that will grow with the College, and work collaboratively with a passionate teaching team committed to high-quality education. About you You will be an experienced New Zealand educator with a strong background in Digital Technologies and a proven ability to achieve excellent student outcomes. Experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum is advantageous but not essential. You will: Hold a current New Zealand practising certificate. Have extensive experience teaching Digital Technologies in a New Zealand secondary setting. Be confident teaching across a range of year levels and abilities. Be innovative, collaborative and committed to continuous improvement. Be passionate about preparing young people for an increasingly digital world.
