The Opportunity We currently have a vacancy for a Network Operator based in Waipawa who will be responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks in our Central Hawkes Bay area. What's on offer Competitive remuneration Time and a half after 8 hours daily Time and a half after 40 hours weekly On call allowances, where applicable Meal allowances, where applicable A great team focused working environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Stable employment with a reputable, world leading, 3 waters Network focused organisation Meaningful work that contributes to the well‑being of our community and keeps the cogs of society turning Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) through assure which covers mental health, nutrition, financial, legal, coaching and career transition support What you’ll be responsible for Work as part of a team to deliver the operations and maintenance of the Central Hawkes Bay 3 waters networks Installation of new connections, assets and assisting in the delivery of network and treatment renewals Complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance on the 3 waters networks Act as a point of contact for customer requests for service Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provisions of services to the community and client Be part of an on‑call roster What you’ll need to be successful Class 1 Licence essential although Class 2 Licence will be an advantage Wheels, Tracks and Roller endorsements (however this can be arranged for the right candidate) Experience in 3 waters operations, such as reticulated network maintenance, drain laying, wastewater maintenance or civil works National Certification in Pipeline and Construction Maintenance (Preferred) or similar TTM Experience TMO - STMS CAT A/B Proven ability to maintain accurate work records Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required Good communication and organisational skills Basic to Intermediate computer skills Understanding the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace IW4 Pipeline and construction will be an advantage Requirements for Applicants You must be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in New Zealand and therefore hold a valid visa.
