Principal Fluvial Geomorphologist

Principal Fluvial Geomorphologist Our Primary Industries group offers a Principal Fluvial Geomorphologist role focused on geomorphic and flood risk assessments and design support. You will provide sound technical advice and project leadership within Primary Industries and across WSP, mentor peers and serve as a subject‑matter expert and technical reviewer. The role focuses on fluvial morphodynamics and involves field and desktop work to deliver natural resource solutions. Part of the Rural Water team, you will work on sustainable landscapes and rural catchments. You should have excellent GIS and communication skills and a solid foundation in numerical modelling, geo‑analytics, and/or hydraulic/geomorphic design. Locations: Palmerston North, Hamilton or Christchurch. About You Postgraduate qualification with specialization in Physical Geography, Geomorphology, Hydraulic Engineering, Engineering Geology, Hydrology or related. 10 – 15 years’ experience in applied geomorphic assessment and/or design. Proficiency in hydraulic and/or landscape evolution modelling software. Strong fieldwork skills. Current, clean driver’s licence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
