Laboratory Cadet

Civil Materials Laboratory Cadet – Taupo Laboratory We’re looking for a motivated Cadet or junior Technician to join our Taupo Laboratory team. This is an entry‑level opportunity where no previous laboratory experience is required – full training will be provided. The role involves handling civil engineering materials (aggregates, soils, concrete, bitumen) in both laboratory and field environments, preparing data, and supporting quality, safety, and performance testing for infrastructure projects. About you Experience in labour or trades‑based roles (e.g. construction, roading, warehousing, farming) is advantageous Strong physical fitness and ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment Basic computer skills and confidence following digital instructions A team player with good communication skills Willingness to travel and work overtime when required Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights in New Zealand. This role is not eligible for Accredited Employer Work Visa sponsorship.
