FIT Administrator/Scheduler - Planned Care Services 1 FTE (80 hours per fortnight) Fixed term contract July 2027 Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role This fixed-term opportunity plays an important role in supporting the delivery of planned care services, with a focus on the Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) Symptomatic Pathway. You will coordinate patient registrations, manage follow up and communication, arrange appointments, maintain accurate patient records, and support patients throughout their journey. Working closely with clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team, you'll help ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care while contributing to improved health outcomes for the growing Bay of Plenty population. About you You are an experienced healthcare administrator who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and making a positive difference to the patient journey. You are highly organised, thrive in a busy environment, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. To be successful in this role, you will bring: At least three years' experience in a healthcare administration role. Experience working with patient management and clinical information systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, whānau and healthcare professionals. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing patient information and data. Confidence communicating with patients by phone, email and text in a professional, compassionate and culturally responsive manner. The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a supportive team. Sound computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering high quality administrative support.
