Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer – Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing to join our School of Education, Social Sciences and Veterinary Nursing on a permanent part-time basis (0.6 FTE) , based in Hawke's Bay. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers in the veterinary nursing profession. Working closely with the Head of School, programme teams, student support services, and industry stakeholders, you will contribute to curriculum development, student success, and the ongoing advancement of veterinary nursing education. The appointing salary for this role will be between $76,772 and $79,416 per annum, pro-rated to 0.6 FTE , dependent on skills and experience. The Lecturer – Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing reports to the Head of School and will be responsible for: Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and practical learning experiences. Developing and updating curriculum and course materials. Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback. Supporting student wellbeing and academic success. Contributing to programme development, quality assurance, and industry engagement. To be successful in this role you will have: Recent experience working in veterinary nursing. Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of current veterinary nursing practices. Experience or capability in tertiary teaching and curriculum development. Experience using educational technologies and online learning platforms. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and student support skills.
