As a Process Engineering Intern within our national Energy business, you will support suitable technical solutions on real projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. How You’ll Make a Difference Assist with core calculations (mass/energy balances, reaction stoichiometry, heat transfer and hydraulic analysis) and clearly document assumptions. Support fluid and gas pipeline/pipework design and analysis – line sizing, pressure drop estimates, compiling line lists and providing inputs to pipe stress checks – with supervision. Gain familiarity with applicable AS/NZ standards and compliance regulations. Assist with materials and equipment selection by preparing datasheets, reviewing vendor information, and drafting technical specifications using our templates and standards. Help produce design deliverables and construction documentation by coordinating with CAD on PFDs/P&IDs and layouts, managing revisions, and contributing to specification and contract documents. Gain field exposure by supporting construction monitoring and site inspections (HSE compliance, field notes, punch lists) and by preparing inputs and summaries for hydraulic transient/surge analyses under guidance. Get familiar with Process Safety implementation in real‑life industrial applications. Internship Program Highlights 12‑week paid internship (mid‑November to mid‑February). Qualifications Penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Process and/or Chemical Engineering. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Availability to work full‑time hours from 16 November 2026 to 19 February 2027.
