About the Role You will be providing safe and effective assessment and intervention across a mix of inpatient and community settings. This includes working with a wide variety of clinical presentations, including dysphagia, stroke rehabilitation, neurodegenerative conditions, and acquired communication disorders. Experience or interest in Video fluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) is advantageous, and support for development will be provided. Your work will be embedded within a supportive MDT environment, partnering with medical teams, nursing, dietetics, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work, and allied health assistants to deliver coordinated and holistic care. To ensure you are well supported as you grow your practice, you will have access to regular supervision, peer support, and (if applicable) access to our New Graduate Framework. About You A relevant qualification in Speech‑language Therapy that is recognised and approved by the NewZealand Speech‑language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA) (essential). Member of NZSTA (essential). Competence in dysphagia assessment and management (or desire to develop). Strong clinical reasoning and reflective practice. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work actively and positively within an MDT. Commitment to culturally safe practice and equitable outcomes. A full NZ driver licence.
