We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join our high-performing Client Supervision team in Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for a financial services professional who enjoys building strong client relationships while applying sound judgement, regulatory expertise, and a risk-based mindset. You will manage a portfolio of supervised entities to deliver effective supervision, identify emerging risks, and ensure clients continue to meet their legislative and contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality relationship management and supervision services. Develop and implement risk-based supervision and monitoring plans, identifying emerging risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Build trusted relationships with clients, providing practical guidance and sharing regulatory developments and industry best practice. Conduct due diligence, onboarding activities, risk assessments, and reviews of key client documentation and governing agreements. Prepare clear, comprehensive monitoring reports and contribute to board papers and regulatory reporting where required. Support and mentor Operational Risk Analysts while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and stay abreast of regulatory, governance, and risk management developments. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, law, accounting, or a related discipline. At least five years' experience in financial services, risk, compliance, governance, or a similar regulated environment. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and boards. Strong understanding of New Zealand's financial services regulatory framework, particularly the Financial Markets Conduct Act is highly preferred. Knowledge of Managed Investment Schemes, debt securities, or other regulated financial products would be advantageous. Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to communicate, influence, and build trusted relationships at all levels of an organisation, to drive positive outcomes. Excellent and proven analytical skills with the ability to assess risk, apply sound judgement, and think critically. Benefits Career growth and training opportunities.
