Exciting Opportunity at Ardgowan Hospice! Position: Consultant in Palliative Medicine Salary: In line with NHS Consultant payscale, pro‑rata for part‑time hours. Any agreed extra programmed activities and on‑call requirements will be paid in addition to the basic salary. Hours: 28 hours per week Location: Greenock Eligibility & Appointment Candidates who have obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) Candidates who anticipate gaining their CCT within six months of the date of their interview Applications from the Specialist Register via Certificate of Eligibility of Specialist Registration (CESR) or Portfolio Pathway route Candidates with appropriate specialist training and experience who are not listed on the GMC Specialist Register may be considered for a Locum Consultant post We discuss arrangements around terms of appointment, including permanent appointment, short‑term or extended locum arrangements, to suit the professional development needs and aspirations of candidates. The contract offered will be with Ardgowan Hospice, following BMA terms and conditions for service for the consultant contract in Scotland. An honorary contract with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will cover on‑call commitments. A pension scheme is offered; nurses may maintain their NHS pension if they are members.
