Embedded within a regional Wealth team, you'll be the driving force behind new business growth across KiwiSaver and Managed Funds. You'll build meaningful relationships, create opportunities, and connect more New Zealanders with the advice and investment solutions that can make a real difference to their financial future. This is a role for someone who loves meeting people, opening doors, and turning conversations into long‑term partnerships. Whether you're building referral networks, strengthening employer relationships, or representing Fisher Funds in the community, you'll be helping to grow our presence while creating genuine value for clients. Key responsibilities As the Business Development Lead, you'll be responsible for creating a strong pipeline of high‑quality opportunities and connecting them to our Wealth Advisers to deliver exceptional client outcomes. You will achieve this through the following activities: Drive new business growth across KiwiSaver and Managed Funds within your region. Build and nurture referral networks, employer partnerships, and corporate relationships. Represent Fisher Funds at industry events, community initiatives, and networking opportunities. Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities that align with regional growth priorities. Maintain a healthy pipeline of high-quality opportunities aligned to adviser capacity and client demand. Work closely with Wealth Advisers to ensure a seamless transition from opportunity to client relationship. Partner with the Regional Wealth Manager to align acquisition activity with commercial objectives and regional performance targets. Leverage local knowledge, market insights, and community connections to uncover new opportunities. Monitor pipeline performance, conversion outcomes, and growth activity to support continuous improvement. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and safe team environment. Skills & Experience Proven experience in business development, relationship management, or sales within financial services or a related industry. A track record of building pipelines and generating new business opportunities. Strong networking skills with the ability to establish trusted relationships quickly. Commercially minded with an understanding of growth drivers and client acquisition strategies. Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills. Ability to work autonomously while building strong partnerships across teams. Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities at different stages. A genuine passion for helping people and creating positive client outcomes.
