Play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and Official Information Act Based in our Ellerslie site in Auckland Mō te tūnga | About the role Join our team as an permanent Assessor, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and Official Information Act by responding to customers who request the information we hold about them. As part of the Customer Information Requests team, you will assess customer files and make informed decisions using a risk-based approach to provide the right information. You'll communicate effectively with customers, other Oranga Tamariki teams and external agencies. You'll also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and participating in continuous learning and development. If you're detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of privacy legislation, we encourage you to apply. Hybrid working arrangements – office based in Auckand with flexible WFH options. Key requirements of the role include: An understanding of the Privacy and Official Information Acts Experience with risk assessing, dealing with issues, and identifying solutions Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner Knowledge and experience working with standard office software products e.g. Word, Excel Sensitivity and understanding of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant work experience is desirable Nōu te rourou | What's in it for you We offer a vibrant and supportive team, flexible work options and a genuine commitment to wellbeing.
