Overview Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women's Health - Oranga Wahine Dunedin School of Medicine - Te Kura Whaiora a Ōtepoti Are you currently working clinically within maternity care as a: Midwife GP O and G RMO O and G consultant This could be the role for you. The role In this Dunedin based role, we are seeking a qualified healthcare professional who would support the Obstetrics and Gynaecology undergraduate teaching team at the Dunedin School of Medicine, with a focus on facilitating learning for 5th year medical students and final year medical students. Our ideal candidate would be working clinically within maternity care as a midwife, GP, O and G RMO or O and G consultant. Kā pūkeka me kā wheako - Skills and experience A healthcare professional qualification. A New Zealand annual practicing certificate. Experience in women's health. Aptitude for effective teaching at tertiary level. Must be able to take initiative and work independently but being always mindful of goals of the Department. Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work positively and productively with obstetrics and gynaecology patients and their whānau. Be culturally competent and have an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to equity within medical education and the wider health system. Evidence of an ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds at all levels of the institution. Pūroko - Further details This is a part-time (negotiable up to 0.5 FTE), fixed-term position until 31 January 2028 based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
