Job Title Team Leader – High Court, Auckland Employment Type Permanent, full‑time position Overview We're designing better justice services – come and join us! Role Summary This operational and management role is all about driving performance through the development of staff to deliver timely justice services to all customers of the court within specific jurisdictions. As the Team Leader, Senior Courts, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of New Zealand’s High Court. Leading a dedicated team, you will manage day‑to‑day work priorities, allocate resources, and ensure the smooth flow of both criminal and civil cases through the Court. Responsibilities Lead, manage and coach staff to achieve high performance. Manage day‑to‑day work priorities and allocate resources within the registry. Ensure a smooth flow of criminal and civil cases through the court. Conduct performance appraisals and staff reviews. Provide and develop training for team members. Collect and analyze statistics relevant to court operations. Exercise statutory powers as required. Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience leading, managing and coaching staff for high performance. Focus on customers and strong customer‑service orientation. Knowledge of or strong interest in the Justice sector. Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience. Experience managing staff and resources within a registry setting. Experience with performance appraisals and staff reviews. Experience in developing training programs. Experience collecting and using statistics to drive improvements. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, and higher pay within the band may be offered to attract strong candidates.
