Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Structures team based in Picton. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure project while providing commercial leadership across a diverse range of structural works. About the Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial and financial management of project works, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance, commercial performance, and project profitability from procurement through to project completion. Working closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, you'll play a pivotal role in managing commercial outcomes and supporting successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. Prepare contract valuations, payment claims, and variation assessments. Monitor project revenue, costs, cash flow, and cost-to-complete forecasts. Lead procurement activities, supplier negotiations, and subcontract management. Manage commercial claims, extensions of time, insurance matters, and contractual issues. Develop and maintain accurate measurement records and commercial documentation. Support project teams with change management, delay analysis, and commercial risk mitigation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders. Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams throughout project delivery. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 5 years' experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project environments. Strong commercial, contractual, and financial management experience. Advanced Excel skills and experience using cost control software such as Candy. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive approach with a strong commercial mindset and problem‑solving ability. Why Join HEB?
