About the Team/Service/Location Our midwifery team is awesome! We are very proud of the service we provide to our communities. Our midwifery‑led service has close collegial relationships with our Obstetric and Paediatric teams. As a part of your first year of practice programme you may have the opportunity to consolidate your practice in a variety of maternity settings. As a part of your first year, you may also get to experience specialist clinics and other opportunities depending on what you would like to focus on. This means you could get to experience all areas of midwifery to find out what you love the most. About you You will have loads of passion and a commitment to women centred and culturally respectful care. As a recent or new graduate , who meets the Midwifery Council and NZCOM enrolment requirements for the Midwifery First year of Practice programme (MFYP), we will assist your transition to practice through a comprehensive New Graduate Midwifery programme which includes: a full orientation, access to midwifery educator and clinical coach support, and a range of clinical experiences across a variety of midwifery settings to help prepare you to become a confident midwifery practitioner. As a midwife you will be able to use all your clinical and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care. Shift will be rostered across AM, PM and Nights working 8‑hour shifts.
