The Business Mr Murdoch's - a casual hangout located in the middle of Auckland. Find us on Fort Street and roll up to the rooftop bar where you can kick back, relax and have a laugh. The pints are cold, the prices cheap and we can guarantee you a good night! Formally known as Fort Street Union, our bar has recently undergone a makeover like none other. Pizza, pints and pool - what else could you want from a rooftop bar? The Role This is your chance to unlock the drinks master within! This position requires you to pour and whip up drinks for our clientele, maintaining the highest of standards and creating memorable and charming experiences. This role would see you working approximately 20-30 hours across Wednesday to Saturday. Responsibilities Greeting (and charming!) customers Making, serving and selling cocktails, coffees, shots, bottled, mixed drinks and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Setting up the bar for busy periods and completing the opening/closing systems including cleaning and maintaining bar service areas Promoting products and upselling Washing glassware, arranging bottles and glasses as well as tapping kegs and attaching supply lines Handling customer payments Assisting the sales manager as required Skills / Experience We are looking for an energetic, flexible and hard working candidate. You have 1-2 years hospitality experience and are looking to take things to the next level. When starting out with us you will become and pro on the bar and/or floor and if willing and keen we will progress you into the management team and take you through all the training required.
