About The Job We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer , to join our team in Christchurch! The role involves carrying out the physical work needed to complete projects that are of a high quality, to meet contract requirements. This Will Involve Installing, repairing, and maintaining stormwater and wastewater networks across Christchurch. Work on major Christchurch City Council construction projects. Operating and maintaining plant and equipment (training will be provided). General labouring as required. What You’ll Need Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the drainage or civil construction industry. Solid understanding of drainage repairs, maintenance and installation. Ability to work safely at a range of depths and pipe sizes. You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused, and work well in a team as well as independently. Full class 1 and class 2 licences are essential. WTR Endorsements are highly advantageous. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre‑employment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
