Civil Engineering Interns 2026/27 - Canterbury

About the role This paid internship runs from November 2026 to February 2027. You’ll be out on site, learning from experienced crews, seeing how designs become real infrastructure, and building practical experience towards your Civil Engineering hours. A strong performance may lead to scholarships and progression into our Graduate Programme. Key responsibilities Work alongside project and site teams on live infrastructure projects. Gain hands‑on exposure to day‑to‑day operations, planning and project delivery. Contribute to work that supports quality, safety and on‑time delivery. Observe how the civil contracting business runs from tender to handover. Qualifications Current study towards a Civil Engineering degree or diploma at a New Zealand‑recognised tertiary institute. New Zealand or Australian citizenship, or New Zealand permanent residency. Class1 Full Drivers’ Licence; access to a car preferred. Genuine interest in practical, on‑site work. Proactive, organised approach and confident communication skills. Adaptability, curiosity and a willingness to learn from feedback.
