This role offers the opportunity to apply your veterinary and/or nutritional expertise in a highly practical, data‑driven environment where your input directly influences farm outcomes. You will play a key role in turning advanced behavioural and sensor data into clear, actionable decisions that improve herd performance across health, fertility, nutrition, and youngstock. You will also be at the forefront of innovation, supporting the rollout and application of new technologies including youngstock monitoring and milk sensors for mastitis detection. What You Will Be Doing Analyse herd performance using CowManager Insights to drive improvements in animal health, fertility, and nutrition Lead the development and application of solutions for youngstock and calf performance Support the rollout and on‑farm use of milk sensor technology, focusing on mastitis detection and intervention Turn system alerts into practical, timely actions by working closely with farmers, veterinarians, and advisors Provide expert guidance that challenges and improves herd management practices across areas such as mastitis, lameness, metabolic health, reproduction, and feeding strategies Act as a key technical voice, connecting CowManager data with real‑world farm decisions Work collaboratively with farmers, vets, nutritionists, and industry stakeholders to align on performance goals Identify trends and insights to support both on‑farm improvements and future product development Contribute to strengthening CowManager’s position within the veterinary and animal health sector Requirements Veterinary qualification or strong background in dairy nutrition Solid experience in dairy systems, with strength across animal health, fertility, and nutrition Interest or experience in youngstock and calf rearing systems Strong understanding of mastitis and practical approaches to detection and management Confidence working with data and translating insights into clear on‑farm actions Ability to influence and challenge farmers and advisors in a constructive, practical way Strong understanding of pasture‑based dairy systems Well‑connected within the New Zealand dairy industry is an advantage Clear communicator who can simplify complex information into practical outcomes Willingness to travel and work closely with farms across the region Applicants must be based in New Zealand and hold a valid work visa or residency #J-18808-Ljbffr
