Support Worker - Rotorua (Part time)

Rotorua Permanent part time - includes weekend shifts Availability to work weekends is required Approximately 44 hours a fortnight between 7am and 7pm Some split shifts Mō te tōunga | About the role IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community. You will be supporting people with intellectual disabilities living in their own homes to achieve their goals and aspirations. This is meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others. As a Support Worker you will be supporting clients with various needs, managing risk and ensuring their safety. Previous relevant experience is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for someone with varied life experience and an open-minded attitude. Ngą ʳʷmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults. A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours. Availability to work shifts and weekends. Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support. Full NZ driver's license. Nʼnu te rourou | What's in it for you? $24.68 - $30.13 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, with the ability to earn more as you gain qualifications.
