Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Join us at Fulton Hogan. We’re looking for a Laboratory Supervisor to help lead the safe, efficient and high‑quality day‑to‑day running of our laboratory. Working closely with the Laboratory Manager, you’ll support testing, sampling and reporting to ensure work is delivered on time, to the right standard, and in line with quality and IANZ requirements. Mō te tūranga | About the role This is a hands‑on role where you’ll lead from the front, support the team, and keep standards high. You’ll help shape good work every day by balancing safety, quality, delivery and continuous improvement. Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the laboratory, ensuring testing, sampling and reporting are completed safely, accurately and on time. Support quality and compliance requirements, including ISO 17025, IANZ standards, audits, non‑conformances and continuous improvement. Coach and support laboratory team members to build capability, lift performance and maintain high standards. Oversee laboratory equipment, calibrations, materials, purchasing and workflow to keep the lab compliant, efficient and commercially sustainable. Work closely with the Laboratory Manager, internal teams, customers and external partners to provide technical support and meet delivery commitments. Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | Qualifications & Skills Relevant qualification in science or civil engineering. At least 4 years’ experience in materials testing. Previous IANZ signatory or KTP status, with a solid understanding of quality assurance and material properties. Strong planning and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise and keep things moving. A collaborative, practical and proactive approach, with a focus on safety, quality and supporting others to do good work. A full NZ Class 1 licence, confidence using Microsoft Office, and the ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role.
