We have an exciting opportunity within our Ecology & Marine team due to an increase in project pipeline across the renewables space. This Principal level role focuses on developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and leading and preparing offers of service for large ecology opportunities. The role also involves developing and coaching other ecologists in the team and requires technical excellence to ensure high quality work. The position can be based in any of our Aotearoa offices. Job Tasks And Responsibilities Preparing and leading offers of service for large ecology opportunities, focusing on terrestrial and freshwater ecology. Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with clients and internal SLR team members. Delivering clear and precise, high quality reports. Undertaking fieldwork activities and resourcing the right teams on projects. Working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors. Skills And Experience A degree in Ecology or a related field. At least 10 years of consulting experience in Ecology, ideally with exceptional technical ability in terrestrial/freshwater ecology. Experience winning, leading and managing projects. Established network and proven ability to win work, highly advantageous. Experience preparing impact assessments and environmental risk assessments. Working knowledge of New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. New Zealand citizenship or rights to work in New Zealand. Excellent driving history and a current driver's license.
