Aboutthe Role Wehave an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurseto join the Nursing Workforce Development Team in this permanent part-timeposition. Workingin partnership with the Nursing Workforce Development Manager, Chief of Nursingand Directors of Nursing, you will contribute to implementing Health NewZealand's nursing workforce direction and workplan Theprimary focus of this role is leading the project management and delivery ofspecialist nursing initiatives that strengthen the nursing workforce acrossHealth New Zealand, Waitaha Canterbury. A key priority will be supporting theimplementation of the Fundamentals of Nursing Care programme while leadinginitiatives that improve nursing capability, promote innovation and enhancequality patient care. Thisrole is ideal for someone who enjoys influencing change, managing projects,building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering programmes that have alasting impact on the nursing workforce. Aboutthe Service TheNursing Workforce Development team is committed to strengthening and growingthe nursing workforce across Waitaha Canterbury. The team leads a wide range ofinitiatives that support nurses throughout their careers, including: Supported First Year of Practice (SFYP)RN andEN Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) and Nursing ĀkongaClinical Placement Facilitation Clinical simulation and postgraduate education Nursing research and specialist nursing projects Nursing recruitment initiatives Aged Residential Care workforce liaison Operations within the Manawa Building Theteam works closely with nursing leaders, education providers and healthcarepartners to support professional development, research, innovation andexcellence in nursing practice. AboutYou Youare an experienced registered nurse who is passionate about workforcedevelopment, quality improvement and leading meaningful change. You bringstrong project management skills, thrive in collaborative environments and arecommitted to supporting excellence in nursing practice. Tobe successful in this role you will have: Demonstrated knowledge andexperience in leading change and service quality improvement initiatives 5+ years Nursing experience Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealandwith a current Annual Practising Certificate Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills Passion for nursing workforce development and careerpromotion HealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare forthe people of New Zealand.
