Job Description Oaks Wellington Hotel are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Front Office Manager to lead the Front Office team on a full-time basis. The moment a guest steps into our hotel you will make them feel at home with your welcoming and warm presence. You have the important job of leading your team and driving exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Include: Providing an outstanding guest welcoming experience by demonstrating a commitment to service excellence and maintaining the front office and reception operational standards. Meeting guests and customers when they arrive and ensuring they are settled in their rooms. Maintaining professional, open and honest communication to assist guests and make accurate bookings. Guiding & supporting the team in providing outstanding guest welcoming and experiences. Ensuring that all daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Resolving & responding to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner. Maintaining accurate guest accounts and assisting with daily reporting. Effectively managing team roster to meet budgets. Supporting Hotel Manager with recruitment. Expected minimum hours: 30 hours per week Hourly range: $33 - $36 NZD per hour (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Payment of wages will be processed on a fortnightly basis by direct credit to your nominated bank account. Annual salary approximate: $51,480 - $56,160 (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Job Title: Front Office Manager (Hotel) Employment Status: Full Time - Permanent Reporting to: General Manager Breaks: Employees are entitled to paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks based on the number of hours worked. Leave Entitlements: As per Employment New Zealand - Leave and Holidays and the Holidays Act 2003. Period of Notice: Four weeks Qualifications To be successful in this role you will have: Minimum 3+ years’ experience at a supervisor level within a hotel or resort environment. Exceptional people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
