Job Description

Court Registry Officer (Hamilton District Court) We are seeking a dedicated Court Registry Officer to work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court in Hamilton. Responsibilities Court Taking – facilitate the running of the court, including introducing judges both in English and Te Reo Māori, working closely with them within the courtroom and chambers, and managing jurors and general court administration. Case Management – ensure that the judiciary and case parties have all necessary information, and that logistics are in place to allow cases to be heard in a timely and efficient manner. Customer Service – interact with customers on any court‑related matter either face‑to‑face, by phone or via email, and communicate confidently with all stakeholders. Travel – travels within the Waikato Courts may be required; therefore a full clean New Zealand driving licence is necessary. Success Profile Detail‑oriented and observant – accurate handling of court processes and case information. \l Self‑aware – work confidently both individually and as part of a team across a range of situations. Multi‑task – manage conflicting priorities and move quickly between tasks. Willing to learn – adapt to changing legislation and processes while maintaining knowledge capital. Resilient – cope with sensitive cases and high‑volume periods.
