Job Description

We are looking for a commercially focused Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Digital team and help deliver engaging, data-led marketing campaigns across email and SMS This role will support the planning, delivery and optimisation of our multi-channel digital marketing programme, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, conversion, engagement and sales growth across both our online and store network. You will work closely with teams across Marketing, eCommerce, CMR/Loyalty and Buying, as well as external agencies and technology partners. This is an opportunity to combine campaign execution, customer segmentation, reporting and strategic thinking in a fast-paced retail environment. What you will be doing Plan, build and deliver email and SMS marketing campaigns. Develop customer segmentation briefs aligned with agreed customer journeys and campaign objectives. Maintain customer database lists, audiences and campaign segments. Analyse campaign performance and provide clear, actionable insights to the wider business. Make recommendations to improve email open rates, click-through rates, conversion and revenue. Develop and implement testing programmes, including subject line, content, audience and send-time testing. Use campaign results and customer insights to shape future marketing activity. Support campaigns designed to grow both online and in-store sales. Assist with digital media activity. Manage our in Store Digital Screens. Review analytics data to measure campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare regular campaign, channel and performance reports. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies and external suppliers. Stay up to date with digital marketing developments, technology and industry best practice. What you will bring You will ideally have: Previous experience in digital marketing, email marketing, CRM or eCommerce role with a minimum 2 year’s experience. Hands-on experience managing an email marketing programme. Experience in creating customer segments and using customer data to improve campaign performance, would be an advantage. Strong campaign reporting and analytical skills. Experience using an enterprise email or marketing automation platform, Dotdigital would be an advantage. Experience using Google Analytics would be an advantage. An understanding of digital media and online marketing techniques. Strong written communication skills and experience creating customer-focused digital content. A relevant qualification in marketing, digital marketing, communications or related discipline. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines. Detail-focused, particularly when working with customer data, campaign content and reporting.
