About the Role Are you a proactive and enthusiastic administrator or receptionist looking for a role where you can make a real impact in a dynamic healthcare environment? Thames Emergency Department (ED) Operates 24/7, and in this vital role, you'll be rostered across a seven-day schedule , ensuring seamless support to our busy team. This role will require you to work a mix of all shifts morning/afternoon/nights. You will also be required to cover other areas in our admin team. This fast‑paced and rewarding role offers plenty of variety . You'll be at the frontline of patient care, creating a welcoming environment for patients and their whānau, while providing essential support to our clinical staff, making this position a vital part of our hospital community. About Thames Thames Hospital is a modern 50-bed secondary care facility offering a comprehensive range of services, including an emergency department, inpatient care, day surgery, an infusion unit, rehabilitation services, birthing unit and low‑acuity mental health care. Our hospital boasts 24‑hour laboratory and radiology services, including advanced CT imaging. As an accredited training hub, we support 5th and 6th-year medical students from Auckland University, PGY2 House Officers, and registrars in Rural Hospital Medicine and General and Acute Care Medicine. We offer a robust quality improvement program, CME opportunities, and a RMO teaching program. Telehealth is expanding at Thames, supporting inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and emergency services like stroke thrombolysis.
