MOTEL MANAGER

\nAbout the Role
\n As a key member of our front-of-house team, you’ll be the face of our hotel, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. You’ll handle a variety of tasks across the motel, with opportunities to grow and learn in a supportive environment.
\n Key Responsibilities:

- Overseeing reservations, guest check-ins and customer experience \n
- Managing our housekeeping team, including training, rostering, and submitting timesheets to the office team. \n
- Overseeing financial records and reports - EOD reporting, EFTPOS Summary and banking, generating weekly financial reports. \n
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and health & safety policies. \n
- Ensure the motel is well presented, and any maintenance works are attended to. \n
- Check stock levels and place orders, manage suppliers and contractors. \n
- Periodically evaluate and compare room rates, occupancy and costs to see where we can maximise return. \n
- Promote and manage the company’s services on various websites. \n
- Manage reviews and guest complaints in a timely and professional manner and ensure customer satisfaction. \n
- Ensure motel operations and management are efficient and profitable. \n
- Recruit and onboard new team members as business requires. \n
- Greet guests warmly and manage seamless check-in and check-out processes. \n
- Handle bookings, guest inquiries, and communications via email, phone, and in-person. \n
- Perform general office and administrative tasks efficiently. \n
- Take sole charge of front desk and hotel operations during shifts, ensuring smooth operation. \n
Competitive pay: $25 per hour.

\n We’re looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude towards our team.
The ideal candidate will have:
\n Strong Communication Skills: Fluent English for clear and professional
\n guest interactions.
\n *2-3 years of relevant work experience OR Level 4 or higher qualification in the relevant field.
\n *A passion for hospitality is essential.
\n *Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple
\n tasks with ease.
\n *A quick learner who stays calm under pressure and maintains a
\n friendly demeanour.
\n *Must be a New Zealand citizen or a resident visa holder, or have open
\n permission to work in New Zealand
