\nMISSION TRANSPORT & CHILL FOODS LIMITED is looking to hire 1 Transport Manager in full-time permanent positions with a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will be working in Auckland region. You will be paid between $30 to $40 per hour.
\nKey Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)

- Plan, organise, direct, control, and coordinate the overall operations of the transport and distribution function to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. \n
- Develop and implement transport strategies, delivery schedules, and route optimisation plans aligned with business objectives and customer service standards. \n
- Oversee fleet management activities including vehicle utilisation, maintenance schedules, compliance, and replacement planning. \n
- Manage and supervise transport supervisors, drivers, dispatch staff, and administrative personnel to ensure operational efficiency and performance targets are met. \n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation, health and safety regulations, fatigue management rules, and company policies. \n
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs such as delivery accuracy, turnaround time, fuel efficiency, and cost control; implement improvements where required. \n
- Prepare and manage transport budgets, control operating costs, and authorise expenditure in line with approved financial limits. \n
- Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and service contractors where applicable. \n
- Investigate incidents, delivery issues, and customer complaints; Implement corrective and preventive actions. \n
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams to ensure smooth end-to-end distribution operations. \n
- Analyse transport data and prepare management reports on performance, compliance, and operational risks. \n
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, safety, sustainability, and productivity \n
Qualification and Experience:
