Shape stories that connect people to complex, nationwide transport outcomes. Be a trusted communications advisor influencing high-profile programmes at the heart of NZTA. This is a permanent, full‑time role based in Wellington or Auckland.

What we’re looking for\n
    \n
  • Proven experience delivering strategic communications and engagement at senior advisor level
  • \n
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and simply
  • \n
  • Experience acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • \n
  • Sound knowledge of communications channels, tools, and techniques across internal and external audiences
  • \n
  • The ability to identify stories, narratives, and linkages that highlight enterprise-wide outcomes
  • \n
  • Experience working in collaborative or matrix environments
  • \n
  • Confidence operating in fast‑paced, high‑profile, and issue-sensitive contexts
  • \n
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • \n
  • Knowledge of, or a willingness to build understanding of, Te Ao Māori, tikanga, Te Reo Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • \n
  • A tertiary qualification in communications or a related discipline
  • \n
