What This Role Is About The Financial Mentor provides financial capability, budgeting, advocacy and education services to individuals and whānau experiencing financial hardship. Working alongside clients in a respectful and strengths-based way, you will support people to build financial confidence, improve money management skills, address debt and financial challenges, and access appropriate resources and services. This role combines practical financial mentoring, advocacy, education and community engagement to help clients achieve greater financial stability and long-term wellbeing. This is a permanent, part-time position working 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday. About You - What You Bring Experience in financial mentoring, budgeting, or financial capability services. Experience supporting people experiencing financial hardship or disadvantage. FINCAP accreditation or willingness to obtain accreditation. Strong assessment, advocacy, and client engagement skills. Knowledge of community services and support networks. Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship‑building skills. Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice.
