Job Description
About the Role Permanent, full-time role with rostered shifts Monday to Sunday. Locations may include Greenlane Clinical Centre and Auckland City Hospital. Applicants must have current rights to live and work in NZ. As a member of Health New Zealand, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will deliver high‑quality operational security services that are customer‑focused and support a proactive, professional approach to healthcare security. Responsibilities Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors, and property. Provide operational security services that meet the needs of healthcare stakeholders. Support proactive, professional security practices within the clinical setting. Respond calmly and efficiently to incidents and emergencies. Qualifications Current police clearance and clearance under the Vulnerable Children’s Act (VCA). Excellent communication skills and a calm, strong, and respectful physical presence. Basic computer proficiency. Background in customer service or security (preferred). Strong track record of punctuality and reliability. About You We value cultural competence and an understanding of cultural differences when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff. You are resilient, able to remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate a caring attitude toward the safety and wellbeing of others, with empathy for those in need of support.
