Principal Environmental Scientist

Principal Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Land Management We have an opportunity for a Principal Contaminated Land Specialist to join our team of environmental scientists, either in Wellington or Christchurch. The role requires extensive experience in the contaminated land discipline, a keen eye for technical detail, a passion for training others, and the ability to develop bids, tenders and contracts within a consultancy setting. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental sciences or Geology Minimum 15 – 20 years' experience in environmental consulting with at least 15 in Contaminated Land Experienced in the design and implementation of robust field programs, and reporting. Capability in soil, groundwater, surface water and ground gas including PFAS. Strong technical reviewer with extensive knowledge with regard to the NESCS and regional requirements. Patient and clear task setter, actively engaged with the ongoing training and upskilling of junior staff. Strong client and project management skills, confident and articulate communication skills with experience liaising with clients and wider team.
