Speciality Clinical Nurse (SCN) Occupational Health, New Plymouth Hospital, Fixed Term and permanent positions available. This is a senior occupational health nursing role where you will have real influence on workforce health, safety, and wellbeing. About the Role We are currently seeking a Speciality Clinical Nurse (SCN) Occupational Health to join our supportive Occupational Health Team. Fixed Term (12 months) (0.6 FTE). The role entails providing expert clinical le, advice and delivery of occupational health services across the district. The role focuses on maintaining high occupational health standards, supporting compliance with Health and Safety legislation, leading health surveillance and vaccination programmes, and managing complex occupational health cases. You will work closely with Occupational Physicians, Health & Safety colleagues, and service leaders to ensure safe, evidence based practice. Key Responsibilities Providing expert occupational health nursing advice and advanced clinical practice Managing complex and high risk occupational health cases Leading and supporting worker vaccination programmes Contributing to audits, investigations, and assurance activities Supporting service improvement, clinical governance, and quality initiatives Applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in everyday practice About you You will be a qualified registered nurse who is able to practise in New Zealand with a strong occupational health background and confidence working at an advanced practice level. Qualifications Current NZ Nursing Council registration with practising certificate Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health Minimum 5 years experience in occupational health nursing Senior Nurse PDRP (or working towards) Experience in health surveillance, fitness for work, and complex case management Strong communication, relationship building, and clinical judgement skills A commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and culturally safe practice Experience using a patient management system We welcome applications from our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
